This exhibition introduces British art of the 1990s, focusing on works from the Tate's collection, which holds British art from 1500 onward owned by the British government, as well as modern and contemporary art from around the world. Focusing on the "Young British Artists (YBA)" who were active mainly in London in the 1990s, it displays about 100 works by about 60 artists, including Damien Hirst, Julian Opie, Lubaina Himid, Steve McQueen, and Tracey Emin. Through these works, visitors can trace the trajectory of innovative creation in 1990s British art and experience the excitement of the British art scene of that era.
