The Usuzumi cherry tree in Tenpyo no Oka Park blooms in late March, about a week earlier than Yoshino cherries. You can enjoy the descendant tree of Japan's three great cherry trees, Neodani Usuzumi-zakura, along with warm foods from local shops. The petals are white in full bloom and turn a pale ink color when scattering—a unique appearance not seen elsewhere. From April onwards, weeping cherries and double-flowered cherries bloom, and various events such as road train operations and stage events are also held.
