About 500 Somei-yoshino are planted on both banks of the Miyagawa River from Miyase Bridge to downstream of Nakagawa Bridge. When they burst into bloom in spring, the effect resembles a beautiful cherry blossom arcade. The riverbank has been developed as a park and serves as a relaxing gathering spot for visitors. The backdrop of snow-capped Mt. Bandai makes this one of the finest cherry blossom spots in the Aizu region.
