Ise Jingu Inner Shrine enshrines Amaterasu Omikami, considered the supreme deity of the Japanese people. It is enshrined upstream of the Isuzu River, which originates from Mt. Kamiji and Mt. Shimaji, surrounded by abundant nature. In spring, Yoshino cherry trees along the Isuzu River and near Uji Bridge turn pink. The pilgrimage to Ise Jingu continues to gain popularity even after Shikinen Sengu. Why not visit during the cherry blossom season?
