Tenryukyo, a scenic spot in Iida City, Nagano Prefecture, is also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. You can enjoy cherry blossoms while river rafting or strolling along the walking paths. From the early-blooming Harumeki cherry blossoms around mid-March to the double-flowered yaezakura in mid-April, you can encounter various cherry blossoms for nearly a month. Weeping cherry trees and the Yaezakura Kaido (Charleville-Mézières Street) are illuminated during the blooming period. In addition, the 'Tenryukyo Hana Matsuri' will be held on April 5, 2026 (Sunday), and the 'Tenryukyo Yaezakura Kaido Sakura Matsuri' on April 19 (Sunday).
