At Kasugaura Beach (Katahara Beach), you can enjoy clam digging from mid-February to mid-July 2026. It is one of the clam digging spots in Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture, and is crowded with many families and tourists every year. Clam digging is possible from about 2 hours before low tide until 1 hour 30 minutes after. When visiting, check the tide table and time your visit to coincide with low tide for efficient harvesting. The amount of clams you can take is up to 2 kg per person, and excess will be collected, so be careful. Rentals of rakes and buckets are available, so you can come empty-handed. Seawater is suitable for purging sand, and there is a water facility at the nearby Katahara Fishing Port where you can draw seawater.
