Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo), a Meiji-era writer known for works such as 'Kwaidan' and 'Glimpses of Unfamiliar Japan,' lived in Matsue, which he called 'the capital of the gods,' from August 30, 1890, to November 15 of the following year. This exhibition introduces various 'stones' mentioned in Hearn's writings, as well as 'stone structures' and 'rocks' he visited during his time in Matsue.
