A park adjacent to the Shirase Antarctic Expedition Memorial Hall. On holidays, families visit, and it is a relaxing place where they have picnics and play on the playground equipment. In spring, about 700 Somei Yoshino around Takeshima Lagoon in the park bloom in full glory earlier than other places in Akita, delighting visitors. On Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026, 10:00-17:00, an event will be held. You can enjoy stage events, food stalls, and outdoor experiences (Ebike, kayak, etc.).
