A special exhibition focusing on the turbulent period of "Meiji Japan" from the late 1880s to the 1900s depicted in Ryotaro Shiba's novel "Clouds Above the Hill." Japan aimed to join the ranks of modern nations in the 19th century when world powers competed for hegemony. After the Sino-Japanese War and the Triple Intervention, the situation in East Asia gradually became tense, centered on Japan and Russia. This turbulent era and the people who supported Japan are introduced through materials, photographs, and videos in three main corners: "Grand Strategy of Diplomacy," "Grand Strategy of the Navy," and "Grand Strategy of the Army." *The "Ryo" in Ryotaro Shiba uses a two-dot shinnyo.
