A rare full-scale rock-fill dam on the Seto Inland Sea islands. It is a flood control dam with a total storage capacity of 1.55 million tons, a height of 46.5 m, and a length of 371.7 m. Construction began in 1984 and was completed in March 1991. The surrounding area was developed into a park, becoming a new tourist attraction. Waterfowl such as swans, ducks, and mallards play on Lake Yashiro. The lakeside features an event square, outdoor stage, and a large artificial turf slide called 'Chibikko Gelande,' along with environmental developments such as daffodils and cherry blossoms.
