Chofu Garden is the residence site of Nishi Yukinaga, who was a chief retainer of the Chofu Mori Domain. On the approximately 31,000 square meter grounds backed by a small hill, a study, tea house, and gazebo remain centered around a pond, retaining the quiet atmosphere of yesteryear. About 30 Hirado azaleas are planted near the garden entrance, where pink and white flowers can be enjoyed. About 20 Mitsuba azaleas within the garden also add spring color to the calm-atmosphered garden.
