An event held during the peak blooming season of 'Sakyu Momo' (dune peach), a local specialty cultivated in Kariwa Village, Niigata Prefecture since the Edo period. The main venue, Pia Park Tourinbo, hosts peach flower thinning experiences, games and quizzes themed around dune peaches, food and craft stalls, and stage performances by local kids dance teams. In 2026, a poem reading gathering (haiku competition) will also be held as a special program, with high-sugar-content dune peaches awarded to winners. As part of an effort to pass this local specialty on to future generations, the event will be reborn as a new festival from 2027.
