Usuzumi Park in Motosu City, Gifu Prefecture, centers on the Usuzumi cherry tree and features spacious lawn plazas and outdoor stages, hosting various events. The cherry tree, with the legend of being planted by Emperor Keitai, has pink buds, turns white at full bloom, and takes on a faint ink color as the petals fall. You can enjoy the changing colors of the cherry blossoms until the petals scatter. A type of Higan cherry approximately 17.3 meters tall and 9.4 meters in trunk circumference, designated as a national natural monument. Its age is estimated to be over 1,500 years.
