"Imose no Sato," a recreation zone filled with Manyo romance with a site of about 5 hectares at the foot of Mount Yukino, surrounded by quiet nature and possessing many historical and cultural heritages. This area was located in Gamouno, famous for the love poem exchange between Princess Nukata and Prince Oama during the Otsu Kyo period, and all buildings are taisha-style based on historical background. Every year, about 700 cherry trees including Yoshino cherry and weeping cherry bloom in profusion at Imose no Sato—truly a gorgeous picture scroll.
