Planted in front of the former Zakoji Elementary School Butai School Building, this is a new variety unique to this area—the semi-double weeping pink Higan cherry. It is about 350 years old. You can enjoy various angles with the Butai school building, Omi Shrine, and the Southern Alps as backgrounds. A popular photo spot for photography enthusiasts as well; illuminated at night, attracting many visitors who enjoy cherry blossoms both day and night.
