Recommended are the cherry tree rows along the levee with about 300 Yoshino cherries continuing, and the double-flowered cherries around the boat pond. Yoshino cherries bloom around late March, followed by double-flowered cherries. Kawagoe Suijo Park is unique in allowing you to enjoy hanami over a long period. In addition to Yoshino cherries, Oshima cherries and mountain cherries are also scattered. The three varieties of double-flowered cherries are Ichiyo, Kanzan, and Fugenzo.
