The Higashi weeping cherry tree in the nostalgic Ishidatami district is an old cherry tree said to be over 350 years old. Its branches spread in all directions hang down like willow branches, and the profusely blooming flowers appear to be spilling over, making its beauty extraordinary. The 'Ishidatami-higashi Weeping Cherry Festival' is also planned to be held in 2026 (date undecided). Around the Ishidatami-higashi Weeping Cherry, hospitality (selling soba and rice cakes, etc.) is provided by local residents.
