The Nagasu Shrine Aoi Festival begins with an introductory ceremony at 9 PM on May 2, continuing through the opening day on the 3rd, the middle day on the 4th, and the final day on the 5th. Floats parade through the streets of Nagasu to the beat of drums and gongs. The festival plaza opens from noon on May 4. From 6 PM, four floats perform the Yose-odori dance at the Nagasu Fishing Port Festival Plaza. From 7:30 PM, fireworks and mochi/candy tossing are planned, with lively festivities filling the Nagasu Fishing Port area throughout the day.
