Netsuke are small items used during the Edo period to attach tobacco pouches, inro, and other items to the sash of a kimono. This exhibition brings together about 250 highly artistic contemporary netsuke from the many works in the collection of the Kyoto Kiyomune Netsuke Museum. Enjoy the charm of the "small universe" shown by netsuke small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. The museum will close on Tuesday, March 31, 2026. This will be the museum's final special exhibition, beloved by many since its opening in 1994.
