The 'Hatsuuma Grand Festival', which announces the arrival of spring to snowy Tajima as the most prominent of the three Tan-itsu (Tajima, Tango, Tanba) events around the Inari Shrine, is held for three days centered on the third Saturday of March every year. It is a festival praying for prosperous business and abundant harvest, hosted by the Hatsuuma Hosan-kai. On the day, more than 300 stalls line up, and tens of thousands of visitors come. It is the festival of the Inari Shrine on Mt. Ariko.
