A handmade cherry blossom park created by clearing about 10 hectares of mountain slope at the foot of the Kuju mountain range. Led by the NPO corporation 'Shidare no Sato wo Tsukuru Kai,' development has been underway since around 2007. During the usual peak season from mid-March to mid-April, about 2,600 cherry trees color the 30,000 tsubo satoyama. The cherry trees bloom at different times; 1,500 early-blooming Taira-zakura trees bloom in mid-March. The official Instagram also provides daily blooming updates.
