A traditional event passed down in the Morota district of Aki Town, held on the day of the spring equinox. The shrine grounds are likened to a paddy field, with a large target set up in one corner as the divine seat. The festival simulates farming work—shooting the target, hoeing/levelling and ridge-painting of the paddy, harrowing with a rampaging bull, sowing, transporting seedlings, planting by boys dressed as Saotome (rice planting maidens), and finally a woman bringing snacks suddenly going into labor and giving birth—accompanied by gongs, drums, flutes, and old-style dialogue. A very unique event that excites the audience with comical makeup and movements.
