On April 29, following the Showa Festival held at Usa Jingu's main hall at 11 a.m., the Omoto Shrine Annual Festival is held at the inner sanctuary Omoto Shrine. Mt. Omoto, where Omoto Shrine is enshrined, is said to be the place where Princess Hime-okami descended upon the sacred rock (iwakura). At an elevation of 647 m, it was once climbed on a religious pilgrimage taking about 2 hours. Today, visitors can drive to just below the summit, and the number of worshippers increases year by year. On the day of the annual festival, many worshippers including members of the Hachiman-ko congregation attend.
