Heiwa Citizens Park is a comprehensive park that meets various needs of citizens such as cultural education, strolling, and sports. In spring, about 800 Yoshino cherries and double cherry blossoms bloom along the Ura River around the central plaza and the international exchange plaza, providing a relaxing place for citizens to enjoy seasonal flowers. In addition to the international exchange plaza commemorating sister city agreements and the Wanpaku Plaza with the 'Mucchan Peace Statue,' a symbol of peace in Oita City, there are various plazas usable for events and recreation, as well as a Noh theater.
