An 18-hectare park surrounded by moats on all sides, developed on the ruins of Sunpu Castle where Tokugawa Ieyasu lived as Ogosho (retired shogun). A comprehensive park with facilities such as the Free Plaza, Chinshoen Garden, and Recreation Plaza, beloved by citizens for its urban location. During flower viewing season, you can enjoy cherry blossoms beautifully reflected in the moat. To create more vibrancy, the city is developing Sunpu Castle Park and its surroundings to become Tokai's premier cherry blossom spot, and as part of this, cherry blossom illumination is also planned.
