Sakura, Japan's representative spring tradition. Shizuoka Prefecture, a "sakura kingdom" where various types of cherry blossoms bloom in various places for about half a year from early spring, is also the only place in Japan where "sakura shrimp," the "jewel of Suruga Bay," are fished. This exhibition explores the true image and "now" of the sakura that gorgeously color mountains, villages, and seas, and approaches their diverse, ephemeral, and profound charm.
