Oita Castle Ruins Park is a park developed on the ruins of Funai Castle, located in the center of the Oita urban area. It is one of 'Japan's Top 100 Castles' and is also famous as a cherry blossom spot. When about 60 Yoshino cherry trees begin to bloom along the moat of the Funai Castle Ruins, cherry blossoms reflected on the moat's surface beautifully spread out, attracting hanami visitors to the outer garden of Oita Castle Ruins Park day and night.
