The cherry blossoms of World Cultural Heritage and National Treasure Himeji Castle, also one of 'Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots,' brilliantly stand out against the white walls of total white plaster coating. Around Himeji Castle, about 1,000 cherry trees of various varieties including Somei Yoshino, double cherry blossoms, and weeping cherries are planted, with the cherry blossom avenue in Sannomaru Plaza with the castle as a backdrop being a must-see.
