Ieyama in Kawane Town is famous as a cherry blossom spot. From late March to early April when cherries bloom, Route 473 becomes a 'cherry tunnel' wrapped in pink, centered on about 80-year-old Somei Yoshino cherry trees. The sight of trains running through about 1 km of cherry tree avenue along the Oigawa Railway right next to the cherry tunnel is the ultimate photo point.
