Climbing the stairs from Shizuoka Sengen Shrine where cherry blossoms bloom in various places on the grounds, the trail walk overlooking the Shizuoka city below features a magnificent cherry tree avenue. The view from the summit is also good, and it serves as a place of relaxation for citizens for strolling. In early April when full bloom is reached, it bustles with many flower viewers. Within the park is the Shizuhatayama Tumulus, a nationally designated historic site.
